A construction company in Qatar is hiring an Accounts Payable Accountant. This accounts job in Qatar suits a detail-oriented person who likes to stay organised and follow up on payments. The monthly salary is QAR 5,000, all-inclusive.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process supplier invoices.
  • Work with project sites to verify and approve invoices, and follow up on certification.
  • Process supplier payments in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (MSD), prepare cheques and coordinate payment releases.
  • Keep accurate financial records and make sure documents are filed properly.
  • Make sure invoices and payment papers are supported and approved for audits.
  • Help with month-end closing, provision entries, bank reconciliation and other accounting tasks.
  • Talk with suppliers and internal teams to solve payment questions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Part-qualified or fully qualified in AAT, ACCA, CIMA, CMA or ICA.
  • Practical experience in accounts payable work.
  • Strong MS Excel skills (mandatory).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an advantage.
  • Experience in a construction or contracting company is preferred.
  • Good communication, organisation and follow-up skills.
