BLJ Job Description – Internal Communications Specialist
THIS IS A QATAR BASED ROLE.
International strategic communications consultancy BLJ Worldwide is seeking an Internal Communications Specialist with experience in the regional education sector to join our Foundations and Education practice.
Working with a prestigious educational entity on a full-time basis, the role requires an experienced PR professional who will be responsible for planning and executing internal communications activities as well as managing internal communications channels.
About You
- You will have over seven years of experience in a similar in-house or agency role.
- With a proven track record of developing and implementing internal communications initiatives and evaluating their effectiveness to enhance institutional culture.
- Have sound knowledge of the educational sector and strong cultural awareness gained from experience in the MENA region.
- Hold a relevant bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, journalism, international relations, political science, English, or related disciplines.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects to strict deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills and relationship-building with different stakeholders in the organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
In this role you will:
· Plan and execute internal communications activities, events, and initiatives in a timely, efficient, and high-quality manner with minimal direction from supervisors.
· Manage multiple internal communications channels to reflect the client’s strategic approach and communication objectives.
· Develop engaging, creative content that communicates the client’s messaging in clear, compelling ways for the internal community with a focus on enhancing the institutional culture and values.
· Engage and interact with the client daily and build strong relationships with the client team.
· Proactively provide recommendations on best practices to the client based on a strong understanding of their objectives and needs.
· Provide client team support and attend internal meetings to present ideas and gain an understanding of key issues.
· Seek feedback from others on a regular basis to ensure satisfaction with the company’s services.
· Ability to implement client brand guidelines and amend content to reflect the client’s preferred style.
· Understand how to brief tasks and provide feedback to the junior team, managing workflow to ensure that tasks are completed in a timely fashion and delivered to a high standard.
· Support with out-of-hours requests as required.
