We are hiring a Teaching Assistant for an immediate start. This teaching assistant job in Qatar helps classroom teachers support pupils, keep lessons running smoothly and make sure every child can learn.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the guidance of teachers and senior staff to support learning and care programs.
  • Help pupils access lessons, both in the classroom and in short sessions outside the main teaching area.
  • Help manage pupils and the classroom, creating a calm and supportive learning space.
  • Support inclusion so that all pupils have equal chances to learn and grow.
  • Promote good behaviour and deal quickly with conflict, following school policy.
  • Give teachers regular feedback on pupil progress, achievements and problems.
  • Help run routine tests, invigilate exams and mark pupils’ routine work.
  • Provide admin support such as photocopying, filing and handling coursework.
  • Build good relationships with parents and carers and support home-school links.

Requirements

  • Follow the Professional Standards for Teaching Assistants.
  • Take part in the school’s performance management system and attend regular professional development meetings.
  • Show a strong commitment to equality in service delivery and employment practice.
  • Protect and promote the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable people.
