Our client is looking for an experienced Protection Engineer to join their electrical and substation team. This is a protection engineering job in Qatar, and the work focuses on protection design, relay settings and testing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and check protection philosophies and relay settings.
  • Supervise the testing of numerical relays and trip logic schemes.
  • Review protection coordination studies and submissions from contractors.
  • Support fault analysis and troubleshooting work.

Requirements

  • A BSc in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.
  • At least 10 years of experience in protection system design and testing.
  • Good knowledge of IEC 60255, IEC 61850 and numerical relays.
