Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy vehicles (trailers, tankers, or flatbeds) to transport fuel, lubricants, drilling materials, or related oil and gas products to and from designated sites.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle’s safety, cleanliness, and compliance with transport standards.
- Verify load quantities, seals, and documentation before departure.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous materials in compliance with HSE regulations.
- Maintain accurate trip logs, delivery records, fuel slips, and safety checklists.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, loading terminal operators, and site supervisors.
- Follow all company driving policies, PPE requirements, and spill prevention procedures.
- Report any vehicle defects, spills, incidents, or near misses immediately.
- Assist in routine vehicle maintenance and coordinate servicing schedules.
- Uphold the company’s reputation by ensuring professional conduct and customer service.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid Heavy Vehicle / Commercial Driver’s License (appropriate class for trailer/tanker operations).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience driving trailers or tankers in the oil and gas, logistics, or hazardous materials sector.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Certified in Defensive Driving, Hazardous Materials Handling, and H2S Awareness (as required).Knowledge of road transport regulations, load securing, and emergency response procedures.
- Strong focus on safety, environmental protection, and regulatory compliance.
- Physically fit and able to work in remote locations or extended shifts if required.
