Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the job responsibilities.
• Accredited specialized certifications in enterprise risk management and analysis.
• At least nine years of practical experience in enterprise risk management and analysis.
• Strong communication, presentation, and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft programs: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Fluency in Arabic.
• Previous experience in humanitarian and development organizations is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Identifying potential risks facing Qatar Red Crescent at all structural levels and during the implementation of its operations and programs, analyzing and assessing them in terms of their likelihood and impact, determining the priorities for addressing them and the relevant entities within the Crescent, and updating the risk register accordingly.
- • Proposing an acceptable level of risk based on the results of the risk analysis and assessment, their magnitude, their management priorities, and the Crescent’s capabilities and capacities.
- • Communicating with relevant entities within the Crescent to discuss associated risks and their responsibilities, and following up on their proposed plans and procedures for addressing these risks, with the aim of avoiding them or reducing the likelihood of their occurrence or negative impacts.
- Monitor changes to identified risks, their management, and the risks arising from them, update related data in the risk register, and communicate with relevant authorities to amend necessary corrective actions.
- Prepare the Crescent’s annual risk management plan and periodic risk management reports, and discuss them with the office manager to ensure their effectiveness.
- As assigned: Participate in and follow up on the technical relationship with consulting firms assigned to provide risk management services at the Crescent. This includes: preparing technical specifications for the service, evaluating technical bids, monitoring implementation, verifying outcomes, and communicating technically with the service provider.
- Prepare and update the general framework and methodologies for risk management at the Crescent, as well as risk management policy and procedure manuals and models. Participate in identifying requirements for automating risk management processes and follow up on their implementation with relevant authorities at the Crescent.
- Conduct the necessary research and studies to develop the Crescent’s risk management system and enhance its efficiency and effectiveness, and propose appropriate measures in this regard.
