We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Project Management Office (PMO) Specialist. The role is responsible for overseeing the execution of strategic and operational enhancement projects. It provides project management tools, techniques, and templates to ensure efficiency and effectiveness while serving as the central support hub for project management across construction, IT, business, and other ad hoc initiatives.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Policies & Procedures:
- Implement the Strategy, Transformation, and Corporate Planning Department’s set policies and procedures and comply with the organization’s other policies.
Operational:
- Drive the implementation and compliance of defined guidelines, tools, and techniques employed in Project management within the organization.
- Monitor the execution of strategic and operational enhancement projects to ensure timely execution across multiple areas (Construction, IT, Business Projects).
- Coordinate with project managers and coordinators to obtain complete and regular updates on projects.
- Highlight issues or challenges that may affect the timely execution and performance of projects.
- Be fully aware and document all Projects/initiatives being conducted across the Organization to ensure defined guidelines for project management are adhered to.
- Ensure complete awareness and documentation of all projects and initiatives within the organization to guarantee compliance with project management guidelines.
- Maintain a project management body of knowledge in line with leading practices defined by leading institutions.
- Monitor and report on project progress, including risk registers and issue logs.
- Collaborate with HR to define and implement periodic project management training and development initiatives to support continuous growth.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Finance, or business administration related discipline is required. A Post graduate degree such as MSc, MBA or PGD in a relevant discipline will be an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Program/Project Management and Governance.
- Professional Certification in Project Management (Prince 2 or PMP) from relevant institutions
- Ability to work with C-level stakeholders and any other work-level within an organization
- Expertise in MS Project or other project management tools.
- Very good awareness of Organization’s operations including Projects and initiatives
- Very good understanding of concepts and processes of effective Project Management
- Good understanding of total quality management
