Currently, we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Financial Counselor to join our team. As a Financial Counselor, you will play a vital role in assisting patients with their financial matters related to healthcare expenses, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience for all.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Financial Guidance: Offer comprehensive financial counseling to patients and their families, explaining healthcare expenses, billing procedures, insurance coverage, and available payment options. Provide compassionate support to address any concerns or questions regarding billing and financial aspects.
- Insurance Coverage Assessment: Utilize your expertise to assess patients’ health insurance coverage, verify benefits, and determine pre-authorization requirements. Collaborate with insurance providers to ensure accurate claims processing and timely payments.
- Revenue Cycle Management: Utilize your formal revenue cycle training to optimize revenue operations, contributing to an efficient billing process and resolving any billing discrepancies or issues that arise.
- Medical Terminology Proficiency: Demonstrate a solid understanding of medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals and accurately interpret medical documentation.
- Patient Access Support: Facilitate patient access to healthcare services by guiding them through the registration and admission process. Assist patients with necessary documentation and ensure a seamless admission experience.
- Compliance and Data Management: Adhere to relevant healthcare regulations and maintain precise and confidential patient records and financial data.
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective collaboration with various departments, including finance, billing, and patient care teams, to streamline processes and enhance overall patient satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Health Information, Healthcare Field, or a related field.
- Completion of formal training in revenue cycle management, health insurance, and/or patient experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare facility, preferably in a financial counseling or patient access office role.
- Prior experience in a large healthcare facility will be advantageous.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical insurance policies, coverage, and claims processing.
- Proficiency in understanding and interpreting medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and staff interactions.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Contract Details:
- Immediate availability to start work.
- Contract duration till December 31, 2023.
- Monthly salary of Qatari Riyal (QR) 7,950.
