The Project: COMP2
Saipem’s scope of work includes the engineering, procurement, fabrication, and installation of six offshore platforms, approximately 100 km of corrosion-resistant alloy rigid subsea pipelines (28’’ and 24’’ in diameter), 100 km of subsea composite cables, 150 km of fiber optic cables, and various other subsea facilities.
The Role
We are seeking a driven and experienced professional to oversee the execution of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (EPCI) activities for the COMP2 Project. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the overall governance of the project in terms of organizational, financial, technical, and contractual aspects to ensure the achievement of project objectives.
- Planning, coordinating, and supervising the execution of project components including jackets, topsides, and topside connecting bridges.
- Leading and supporting a multidisciplinary team throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
This is a dynamic and hands-on role that requires international travel, including regular visits to fabrication yards in China and offshore presence during installation phases.
Requirements
- Proven experience in offshore construction, particularly in EPCI projects.
- Previous involvement with Qatar Gas is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of hook-up operations and LNG processes.
- Expertise in post-order management and fabrication oversight.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Confident and effective communication skills, especially when interfacing with clients.
