Procurement Officer

Amwaj is looking for a Procurement Officer to join its catering and food services team in Qatar. This procurement job suits someone who knows how to source food, drinks and kitchen supplies at good prices.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily procurement work for catering operations.
• Find and check suppliers for food items, beverages, kitchen equipment and other materials.
• Get quotations, negotiate prices and make sure purchases are competitive.
• Work with the kitchen, operations and warehouse teams to understand what needs to be bought.
• Make sure materials arrive on time and keep their quality high.
• Check stock levels and arrange restocking so there are no shortages.
• Keep supplier records, purchase orders and procurement paperwork up to date.
• Make sure all food bought meets quality and food safety rules.

Requirements

• At least 3 to 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in catering or food service.
• Good knowledge of food suppliers and the local market in Qatar.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Knowledge of purchase orders, inventory control and procurement procedures.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• You must be currently available to work in Qatar.
• A valid QID and a NOC or transferable visa is preferred.
