We are hiring a Mechanical Technician for a long-term job in Qatar. This role suits an experienced person who can carry out mechanical maintenance work on plant equipment in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Fertilizer industries.

Responsibilities

  • Work on your own to install, remove, reinstall, inspect, repair, and maintain equipment.
  • Check the quality of work, find faults, and fix them following approved maintenance standards.
  • Read isometric drawings, mechanical drawings, equipment datasheets, and other technical documents.
  • Clean, protect, and look after equipment parts that have been taken apart.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of hands-on experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Fertilizer industries.
  • Strong experience in mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting of rotating and static equipment in continuous process plants.
  • Practical experience with pumps, blowers, compressors, fans, turbines, valves, vessels, columns, heat exchangers, piping, and other static equipment.
  • Knowledge of CMMS and maintenance record keeping. Experience with the SAP EAM Work Order module is preferred.
  • Good awareness of HSEQ and a strong safety record.
