Implement the marketing and commercial marketing strategies and related programs/services campaigns to meet corporate objectives Key functions will include day-to-day management of marketing agencies, identification and evaluation of relevant market research, competitor data and other information to develop and implement effective campaigns and modify marketing strategy, as required .

  • Develop and implement the marketing and commercial marketing strategies
  • Lead on increasing income streams to the organization through sponsorship, advertising, merchandise, licensing, and integrated programs and services
  • Work closely with the SBUs & venues at the organization to ensure commercial marketing opportunities are realized through to the organization services, programs and events
  • Responsible for the management of the marketing strategy and related program and services-specific campaigns to drive awareness of the organization
  • Identify market research requirements and manage market research and other relevant data to refine marketing strategy and develop specific campaigns
  • Identify and develop marketing opportunities (above- and below-the-line) that will contribute towards organization’s organizational objectives
  • Establish and implement effective management systems to measure effectiveness of marketing strategy and any specific campaigns
  • Work with PR & Media Manager to identify potential partners and supporting programs
  • Develop and implement cooperative marketing and promotional plans with key sponsors and partners of the organization
  • Identify, develop and close sponsorship sales opportunities
  • Identify key audience segments and appropriate marketing channels
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of the marketing and sponsorship services policies and procedures in order to ensure that all relevant procedural and legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a high quality and cost-effective service
  • Contribute to budget development and monitor the budget performance and the financial performance of marketing to identify areas of shortfall and propose corrective action to ensure actual expenditure is controlled within the agreed budget
  • Manage brand identity in order to ensure that the overall branding objectives are achieved and the right messages are disseminated
  • Lead the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of marketing systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement
  • Direct and ensure the effective achievement of departmental objectives through leadership of the marketing department, setting departmental and individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, providing formal and informal feedback, and appraisal in order to maximize subordinate and departmental performance
  • Supervise, motivate, assign, evaluate, and discipline staff at the communication staff
  • Contribute to the process of effective manpower planning in the marketing department including the recruitment, training, development and enhancement of the capabilities of the staff; adopting and implementing relevant HR best practices and ensuring a high level of employee engagement and motivated work environment
  • Assist the Chief Marketing Advisor in the development and analysis of annual plans, ongoing programs, and special projects
  • Coordinate various market research studies and reports and recommends feasible actions based on research data
  • 12 – 15 years marketing experience 4-7 years should be in a similar position / responsibility, preferably in a similar Industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree Business Administration with specialization in Marketing, Communications and/or Public Relations
