We are hiring a Corrosion Technologist for an urgent onshore job in Qatar. This is a residential role for someone who can join as soon as possible. The job focuses on protecting plant equipment and pipelines from corrosion, which is important in oil and gas and LNG facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design, install, commission and troubleshoot cathodic protection (CP) systems.
  • Monitor and maintain CP systems across the plant.
  • Carry out corrosion monitoring on plant equipment.
  • Manage chemical treatment programs to control corrosion.
  • Support plant shutdown work related to corrosion control.

Requirements

  • A degree or diploma in engineering.
  • NACE CP-3 certification is needed. AMPP certification is also listed.
  • At least 12 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • At least 5 years of experience in LNG plants.
  • Hands-on experience with CP design, installation, commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with plant shutdowns, corrosion monitoring and chemical treatment.

The working schedule is 8 hours per day, 6 days per week. The start date is as soon as possible.
