Construction Superintendent – Instrumentation

Brunel is hiring a Construction Superintendent for Instrumentation to lead front-line safety and technical work on instrumentation installation on a major project. This is a construction job in Qatar, based on a long-term project that runs for 36 months, with a possible extension.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety on the construction site and keep work safe for everyone.
• Supervise instrumentation installation activities.
• Review E&I technical and project documents.
• Make sure work meets project safety, quality and technical standards.
• Work with contractors and internal teams.
• Take part in planning and risk assessment meetings.
• Track construction progress and project schedules.
• Check daily, weekly and monthly contractor reports.
• Spot construction problems early and suggest ways to fix them.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.
• At least 8 years of experience on large construction projects in the Oil & Gas industry.
• At least 1 year in a supervisory or oversight role.
• Ability to read approved construction drawings and Navisworks 3D models.
• Experience with instrumentation installation plans.
• Ability to read Primavera schedules.
• Experience in instrumentation construction, installation, hook-up and pre-commissioning.
• Experience on a major LNG project is preferred.
