Accountant – Contracting Experience

We are looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to join a team in Qatar. The ideal candidate has 4 to 6 years of accounting experience in the contracting or construction industry and knows how to control project costs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor project budgets, including labor, materials and subcontractor costs.
• Compare actual and projected expenses and prepare variance analysis.
• Review and process supplier, purchase order and subcontractor invoices.
• Make sure contract terms, tax rules and company policies are followed.
• Keep accurate project accounting records and prepare monthly financial reports.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable linked to contracting work.
• Support audits, claims, change orders and client billing documents.
• Carry out bank reconciliations and fixed asset (FA) registration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 4 to 6 years of relevant accounting experience in contracting or construction.
• Strong knowledge of project-based accounting, cost control and contract compliance.
• Experience with ERP or accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
